CHRYSOSTOMOS MOUSMOULIDIS CHRYSOSTOMOS MOUSMOULIDIS

Is art the child of suffering or happiness?
Art is a child of need that can make us comfortably miserable, melancholically happy. This is also a form of happiness. Since the first rule for acquiring happiness is the sober realization that there are no rules. We all have to improvise. As wisely and deliberately Chrysostomos does.
Chrysostomos’ artworks, executed in silence and solitude, are in direct connection to the underground course of history. He knows how fair Milan Kundera is when he writes that "Art is not the band of the Municipality accompanying the pace of history." Art is the aesthetic claim that it aims to be a moral imperative. And not vice versa.
