With her new work, Evi Sideri sets a double goal: she contends the sequel, attempting simultaneously interversion and break with (whatever we have known of ) her past.
An inner maturing is enlarged, through an artistic “blow up”, which surfaces in the paintings, “blooms” and asks for the rights of prosperity and for a golden revival in means of communication without betraying her painting means.
A distant sensuality, the reminiscence of an innermost paradise seals up the works the one after the other, calling on us to dive into the surface of the image, with no return.

Duchamp quoted: “It’s the spectator that makes the painting”. In Mrs. Sideri’s case, this “spectator” has such power over the artworks and, perhaps, over their creator too, than ever before...
